PokerStars.com EPT London: High Roller Event
PokerNoob joined in on the action along with all the celebrities in the high roller event. Nazgul and Allanon played the six max event.
Tournaments above $10,000 are always something very special. Above all is, of course, the $50,000 WSOP H.O.R.S.E. event, but PokerStars also attracts many players to large tournaments with huge buy-ins over the course of the European Poker Tour and the APPT .
One who has never been afraid neither of big buy ins nor of big names when playing online, is PokerNoob, who attended the £20,000 EPT High Roller event in London, yesterday. His opponents were players like Phil Ivey, Vanessa Rousso, ElkY, Greg Raymer and Tom 'durrrr' Dwan.
A total of 75 players joined the event altogether, creating a prize pool of £1,500,000. The first place would be able to walk away with £542,000.
Unfortunately, after Day 1 PokerNoob is not going to be that person. His day had a miserable start as his stack was crippled by losing with pocket Aces against a flopped set of sixes. After losing pocket Kings, pocket Queens a couple of times he finally found himself all-in for his tournament life with pocket Queens against the mighty Tom "Durrr" Dwan who held aces in a Cut-off vs Big Blind war. No lucky lady to help out PokerNoob and he was sent off.
psychobenny also played the High Roller event. Unfortunately he too was forced to leave the field on Day 1.
Short-handed EPT Event

Trader took a break for a day, but
Allanon and
Nazgul were eager to play some more directly after the WSOPE. Their event was rather strange, as after three blind levels the average dropped to 28 big blinds already.
A quick end for both the players occurred. Early on Allanon lost a big pot and found himself flipping for his life one orbit later when he shipped it in with Ace Nine and got called by pocket eights. He didn't get the lucky side of the coin and was out.
Nazgul had a slightly worse fate. He jammed it in holding Ace King and was called by the mighty Ace Jack. Jack came on the turn to help out the villain and Nazgul too was send off for some resting time.
