Sam Trickett Wins Partouche Poker Tour Main Event!
British poker pro Sam Trickett has won the 2011 Partouche Poker Tour Main Event. He defeated a field of 579 of the world's best poker players and will claim €1 million for his accomplishment.

Sam Trickett is the winner of the 2011 Partouche Poker Tour Main Event in Cannes, France. He was the last member of the "French November 9" standing on Sunday, and his victory comes with a massive €1 million first-place prize.
What happened?
• Ilan Boujenah's Rise and Fall - Within the first 20 minutes of play, shortstack Ilan Boujenah opened a pot and was raised by Sam Trickett from the small blind. Boujenah responded by moving all-in with A-7 offsuit, and Trickett snap-called with J-J. An Ace peeled on the turn to double Boujenah and give him the lead- but from that moment on he collapsed. Despite the double, he still finished in 4th for €300,000.
• Sam Trickett Crushes - Sam Trickett's performance was nearly the exact opposite of Ilan Boujenah's. Trickett lost a lot of chips in his first major pot, but after falling to last place he seemed to make no mistakes for the rest of the day. He knocked out Oleksii Kovalchuk in 3rd place, and entered heads-up with half the chips that Salman Behbehani had. That didn't prevent him from winning, and in total it took him under 2.5 hours to move from 4th place to the victory.
• Sam Trickett is the All-Time English Money Leader - This event puts Sam Trickett in 1st place on the all-time tournament earnings list for English players, with over $6 million in career earnings. Previously he was in 3rd, but the additional €1 million pushes him ahead of Dave Ulliott and Roland de Wolfe to take the lead.
He entered the final table with the chip lead and was considered the favorite by most observers. When play was over, Sam Trickett didn't disappoint any onlookers and ultimately collected all of the chips in play.
