Spraggy completes a winning 24 hour stream
A winning day and thousands of poker fans tuned in to watch the PokerStars streamer battle sleep deprivation live on Twitch.
Poker has a long tradition of sleep deprivation. Whether it is the iconic stories of games so good they didn't end for days, the 24 Hour Big Game TV show or the many world record attempts for longest time playing poker, being able to play for days on end is a badge of honour in this game.
It was inevitable, therefore, that this would stretch into the Twitch poker sphere and this week Spraggy decided to do a 24 hour stream:
One old man, 9.44pm start...24 hours of non stop poker action.
To recapture the magic of my younger streaming years. To recapture the passion, the drive and the motivation. Let us begin. If this tweet is live in 24 hours...we made it.

And it looked like a good choice for him, as after 75 tournaments he ended up locking in a profit of $1,228 (or $51.16 an hour) for his efforts. He also had a peak of 3,123 consecutive Twitch viewers.
The highlight of which was winning the Big $82 for $1,315 (basically his entire profit for the whole stream):
Of course, such an undertaking is not advisable for one's mental health and late into the stream it appeared to take its toll on our man (if you watch Lex Veldhuis's stream, you'll know what this is a nod to):
No doubt this will set a precedent and expect to see future record breaking streams and/or prop bets around streaming non-stop while remaining profitable. Until then, take a bow Spraggy.
