The Asian Poker Tour Marches To Manila

The Asian Poker Tour makes its second stop in Manila this year, with some of the best players in the world joining the action. The Dusit Thani hotel will be hosting the event, which will last from January 29 to the 1st of February.

APTThe Asian Poker tour is once again crowding some of the best players across the world in the city of Manila, Philippines. The Dusit Thani hotel will be the host for the second stop of this tournament where the expected number of participants is over 300. All of them will share the same goal, winning the $2,500+$200 No Limit Hold’em Main Event.

The tournament itself begins on Thursday, January 29 and ends with the closing of the final table on Sunday, February 1. Players will begin with 10,000 in tournament chips and with many of them making notable results by now, the victor's name is left in the dark.

saab returns to defend his title

Amongst others, David Saab has confirmed that he will be back this year after taking the Philippines leg of APT in 2008, where he had to topple 316 players to win the first place prize of $280,000. Besides him, the Poker Pack will also attend this event, being contracted to promote the ATP. This means that players such as Nam Le, Chino Rheem, and Kwang Soo Lee will be seen at the tables.

Besides organising a prestigious tournament, the Asian Poker Tour is also known for its lavish parties. FHM/DafaPoker Player party will ensure that this year is no different, not to mention the chauffeured bus which will take players to all of the hottest nightspots in Manila.
