WPT Grand Prix de Paris Day 3: Two Tables Remain
The WPT Grand Prix de Paris is in the money, and just two tables of players remain. They will soon return to battle down to the 6-player official WPT television final table.

The WPT Grand Prix de Paris Day 3 is down to just 2 remaining tables, rather than 3 as had been planned by the tournament director. Just 18 players will return for Day 4 to play down to the official WPT final table.
Chip leader Matt Waxman may not be a famous enough player for most of us to know by name, but his tournament results suggest he knows what he's doing on the felt. He has four 6-figure tournament scores since 2009, including taking 3rd place in a WSOP Omaha Hi/Lo event. He has 1,120,000 chips, and his opponents can't be happy that a solid player has that stack.
Also above the million-chips mark is Mikko Sundell of Finland. His previous tournament experience is not as extensive, but his 1,019,000 chips give him a significant chance at a big score nonetheless.
McLean Karr started the day in 6th place overall but couldn't manage to reach the money today. Tatjana Pasalic was waiting for him when he busted, however, so it's not all bad.
Guillaume Darcourt managed to turn his Day 1 lead into a deep run this tournament, unlike at EPT Barcelona. The Frenchman and his bright pink hair will return tomorrow with 500,000 chips.
PokerStrategy.com's representatives each met their unfortunate demise today as well. Our WPT qualifier on Party Poker, Syzmon hellutek Grzela, was unable to reach the money. Benny psychobenny Spindler busted as well, but collected $23,448 for his efforts.
Some noteworthy Day 3 casualties include Tyler Bonkowski and McLean Karr.
Day 4 will begin today with 18 players and continue until 6 are left.
