pleno1 chops a SCOOP for $100k
We round-up some more stories you may have missed including security issues at a popular poker hotel and Lex gets trolled by his sponsor.
Sick start for Team pleno1
Remember that sick $100k prop bet between Patrick 'pleno1' Leonard and bencb vs C.Darwin' and 'lena500'? It's been less than a week and the scores are incredible.
Patrick chopped a SCOOP event this week for $110k, but amazingly the bet is still very competitive. The four men between them have amassed over half a million in cashes so far in the five days that SCOOP and PowerFest has been taking place:
#POWERSCOOPbet #day 5
AAARGHHH, lot of runs today but couldn't get gold medal. One sloppy mistake was costly. Nice day to look forward to tomorrow. The silent assassin Lena900 had a huge $90k score though!#bitbRYE $335,000#TEAMSWE $230,000
Game on!— Patrick Leonard (@plenopads) May 11, 2018
PokerStars trolls Lex
Twitch legend Lex Veldhuis is also having a lot of deep runs but not quite managed a big score yet, something which his sponsors seemed to delight in teasing him about last night on his stream (FYI he is from the Netherlands):
More issues for poker players at Hotel Arts

A word of warning for travelling poker players, the Hotel Arts in Barcelona appears to once again be the scene of a high stakes player having a large sum of money stolen.
Poker player Tapio ‘PikkuHUMPPA’ Vihakas has taken to 2+2 to reveal that he had €2,000 stolen from his room when he was staying there during the recent partypoker MILLIONS event. He also claims he was threatened with legal action by the hotel's lawyer after posting about it on TripAdvisor.
This is not the first time that poker players have had trouble there, quite infamously Jens Kyllönen was one of several players in 2013 who claimed their laptops were hacked while staying there for an EPT event. High stakes player Paul Newey has also claimed his girlfriend's diamond ring went missing at the hotel.
A birthday treat complete with poker maths
On a lighter note, Igor Kurganov celebrated a birthday this week and you can work out how old he is based on this birthday cake from his girlfriend and self confessed science geek Liv Boeree (No looking at his Wikipedia page)
Check out the mathematical cake I got Igor for his birthday - can you solve all its puzzles to figure out how old he is?
Bonus points for figuring out which push-fold range it has. pic.twitter.com/C9yVmkYsrk
