Small Talk
Another week, another mass of awesome GIFs to sift through from our GIF thread. This is my favourite this week:

Also over in our Small Talk forum we have lots of fun stuff including a great TV show thread and a fun interactive one called 'would you rather?' (which you can guess what that's like).
Learning to win

A great discussion taking place right now on the topic of risk/reward and variance.
has been thinking deeply about this and has an interesting theory about how embracing variance and playing a hyper LAG style could prove very profitable. It's too long to post here, but everyone likes his thinking about it.
There is even mention of how Phil Ivey will often quit early if his opponents win a couple of buy-ins early, because he believes good variance makes people play better. It's a thread worth joining for sure.
Challenge of the week
This challenge has it all - a fun name, a big goal and some education to boot.
Release Yo'Delf - 60k in 1 year by is a fun blog from a member from Slovenia, where he is trying to win €60,000 starting at NL50 Heads-Up.
The really interesting thing, however, is the educational insights into the political situation in Slovenia - which is both eye opening and very amusingly told. It's worth checking out.
LOL of the week
I can't really defend his actions, but I must admit I did laugh at Grant Hinkle going overboard with his celebrations here:
Join us next week for a special video content promotion which is not to be missed.
