Black Members Live it Up in St. Petersburg
A group of our Black Members were treated to a very special event in St. Petersburg. With haute cuisine, adrenaline fueled karting races and VIP clubbing in one of the finest venues the city has to offer, we showed our guests just what it means to be PokerStrategy.com Black Members.

"Black Member" - the highest PokerStrategy.com status is much more than just an indication of a successful poker career. It's also an entry ticket to exclusive events in international locations. Read on for a little taster of how we treated our guests at one of our latest events.
In St. Petersburg with William Hill
February was all about going international for our Black Members. While some opted to attend the "Gentleman's Night" in Düsseldorf and enjoy all the luxuries the metropolis on the Rhine has to offer, a few adventurous Black Members journeyed to St. Petersburg to celebrate an alternative Black Member event.
William Hill once again sponsored the party, following their last sponsorship appearance at the Black Member event in Bensberg. With five William Hill colleagues present, the poker room invited our VIPs to a workshop. Black Members had the opportunity to discuss their views and give feedback to the poker room representatives in person.

Friday, arrival day: when you join an event as a Black Member, you don't have to lift a finger all weekend! Upon entering the lobby, you'll be greeted by the lovely ladies from the Black Member reception team. A porter will take your bags and within 15 minutes you'll be relaxing in your room, champagne glass in hand.
After welcome drinks in the lobby, the evening in St. Petersburg rolled true to form: Black Member dinner in a high class restaurant close to the fabulous Peterhof. New friendships were made and old ones rekindled over several courses of exquisite food, carefully selected wine and of course some shots of the drink Russia is so famous for. Later on, a live band rounded off the evening in high spirits.

Saturday kicked off with full-throttle action. After a hearty breakfast, our Black Members hit the biggest karting track in Russia for a heavy duty adrenaline kick. thomas41on1 was top of the podium after the final race. Congratulations to him!
The evening was reminiscent of previous Black Member parties, let there be diamonds! A massive banquet was laid on for some 300 guests, made up of Russian Diamonds as well as visiting Black Members.
"Bread and games" was the motto for the evening, with guests being entertained by animators, or choosing to prove their skills in small competitions.

The night raced on in full party spirit to an exclusive club, naturally with a VIP area reserved for Black Members. The drinks were laid out ready and waiting for those still thirsty when they left the banquet (an unlikely scenario) and those who just wanted to carry on drinking (the more likely situation).
The morning after the night before
The Black Member event ended on Sunday, but not before the VIPs had the chance to go on a private tour to see the splendours of St. Petersburg, or just spend time in the "Leader" entertainment centre, playing darts, pool and laser tag.
At about 7pm it was time to start heading home. Still, every cloud has a silver lining, and when one Black Member event comes to an end, we can all start looking forward to the next one! Maybe we'll see you there?

How can you take part in the next exclusive Black Member event?
If you've only recently become a Black Member or you're just about to gain Black Member status, you'll get your first event ticket as a gift. You can register for an event just as soon as you reach 500,000 StrategyPoints.
If you're already a Black Member:
- There are 3 qualification periods, each four months long - January to April, May to August and September to December.
- You'll receive your event ticket when you earn 33,000 StrategyPoints .
- If you earn more than 100,000 StrategyPoints you'll also receive a travel expenses token along with your event ticket.
- If you don't earn enough points for an event ticket in a qualification period, the StrategyPoints you've earned will carried over into the next period.

What else should I know about Black Member events?
- You can visit up to three Black Member events each year.
- You have a free choice of a variety of events - city trips with your partner, party weekends, adventure breaks...

The next events are taking place 25th - 27th March in Hamburg and 15th - 17th April in Berlin. A master tailor will be present at both events, to measure new members for their traditional Black Member suit.
