WPT Bay 101 Shooting Star: Day 2

145 players returned for Day 2 of the 2009 WPT Bay 101 Shooting Star championship event. The play continued even after the money
bubble burst, thus leaving only 36 players in the hunt for the title at
the end of the day. Each of the remaining players will take home at
least $15,000 in prize money.

A total of 20 Shooting Stars took their seats with bounty hunters on
their heads and only four of them survived through the day - those are
Hoyt Corkins, Kathy Liebert, Joe Sebok and Paul Wasicka.

jonathanlittle found himself on the list of those
who didn't make it, along with Allen Cunningham, Jennifer Harman,
Daniel Negreanu, WPT Invitational winnerFreddy Deeb (picture), Men Nguyen, Erick Lindgren, Eli Elezra
and others.

Freddy Deeb and Brandon Cantu were eliminated in the same hand. They
both went all-in pre-flop and John Monnette called them down with A-Q.
Cantu had pocket fours and Deeb held pocket tens. The board came
A-K-2-J-6 and Monnette collected $10,000 in bounties.

Michael Kamran also had a good run, as he finished the day in the chip
lead with 570,500. Meanwhile, Vincent Shaw left the tournament as the
bubble boy. Action between the remaining 36 players will continue on
six-handed tables until the field comes down to the final table.
