The speculations on the German tour stop of the ongoing EPT season have finally come to an end. The tour will leave Dortmund and be hosted in Berlin.

From the 2nd of March until the 7th, the PokerStars.com European Poker Tour will take place in Germany. This time, the journey isn't going to end in Dortmund, but in Germany's capital, where Casino Berlin, Potsdamer Platz will host the event.
And the German EPT has yet another surprise: For the first time, the winner will be awarded a guaranteed prize of €1,000,000.
Last year's EPT had the winner in Dortmund, Sandra Naujoks, winning €917.000 over 667 players. This year, PokerStars seems convinced that the number of participants will be even higher.
Glass pavilion to house more than 700 players
To provide enough space for the large number of participants and spectators, it's been planned - with the agreement of the requisite authorities - to build a two-storey glass pavilion with an area of 2,000 m². It will accommodate more than 700 players and make this EPT stop the most spectacular poker event ever on German soil.
With such plans, there are bound to be related side-events, but PokerStars has so far been silent on this. Either way, the upcoming EPT Berlin will be worth a trip - and not just for the players.
