JC Tran leads a stacked November Nine

Meet the November Nine

Several big names fell on the penultimate day of the Main Event before the break, including last year's October Niner Steven Gee, Yevgeniy Timoshenko, PokerStrategy.com coach Sergio 'geniodelletartarughe' Castelluccio and former Main Event champion Carlos Mortensen was the bubble boy.

That still leaves us with one of the most stacked Main Event final tables since the November Nine concept was introduced. 2nd in chips Amir Lehavot is a WSOP bracelet winner, Mark Newhouse is a WPT champion and short stack David Benefield is a very high profile cash game player.

But all eyes will be on JC Tran who has two WSOP bracelets, one WPT title and over $8 million in winnings. He is the chip leader going into the final nine and also likely the favourite to win regardless of the chip stacks.

Everyone remaining is guaranteed at least $733,224, but when they return in November all eyes will be on the title and first prize of $8,359,531.
