Negreanu's YouTube channel overtakes Polk's
More subscribers are better for KidPoker as the title of biggest YouTuber in poker changes hands.
The ongoing rivarly between Daniel Negreanu and Doug Polk continues, with KidPoker dethroning Polk as the biggest individual YouTuber in poker.

There are bigger poker channels tied to companies, but Negreanu is now the biggest vlogger in the game, with 200,779 subscribers at the time of writing compared to the 195,744 of Polk.
For a long time Polk was the pioneer of poker on YouTube, the first to get the Silver Play Button and without doubt the most influential YouTuber in the game. However, in the last year or so his attention has been divided, working also on Crypto and comedy channels, as well as less poker playing in general.
It makes perfect sense, by comparison, that Negreanu would overtake Polk right now because his daily Vlogs at the WSOP are the most watched videos in poker at the series (especially because he started the series up $3 million after the Super High Roller Bowl).
Consistency tends to be rewarded on Youtube, so assuming Negreanu takes a break from it after the series and Polk maintains a relatively active publishing schedule, the two will likely swap places this year.
It is, of course, particularly interesting that these two players should be neck and neck at the top of the YouTube channels because of their much-publicised animosity towards each other. Something which might bring Polk out of retirement trying to recapture the number one spot.
