Antonio Esfandiari to box Kevin Hart

Last week was a crazy week for poker with three boxing matches between poker players being proposed.

What is it with poker players challenging each other to boxing matches? 

In the week that saw Fernando Habegger challenge Doug Polk to a $50,000 boxing match after a bitter public fallout, now a friendlier and more high profile version seems to be in the works. 

Comedian Kevin Hart appears to be set to step in the ring with One Drop champion Antonio Esfandiari:

Esfandiari is getting 35-to-1 on account of Hart being in much better shape (despite a significant height disadvantage which is not trivial in boxing).

It has been a funny week for poker players suggesting boxing as a remedy to a dispute as Luke Schwartz also appears to be set to step into the ring with somebody he was arguing with on Twitter.

Whether any of these matches will happen remains to be seen but it is not uncommon to see two poker players to step in the ring. Gus Hansen, Theo Jorgensen, Liv Boeree, Lex Veldhuis, ElkY, Olivier Busquet, JC Alvarado, Brian Rast and Sorel Mizzi (to name just a few) have all stepped into the ring or octagon to settle a beef (for money).
