Moneymaker story becomes an ESPN 30 for 30

How it all began

If you are a follower of American sport you will know the name '30 for 30', which is an iconic series of sporting documentaries from ESPN. 

It was only a matter of time but this week they realised a poker episode, which charts the moment Chris Moneymaker won the 2003 World Series of Poker Main Event, changing the game forever:

Ferguson ties his WSOP record

We predicted it could happen and now Chris Ferguson is one result away from beating his own world record for most cashes in a WSOP. 

The controversial former Full Tilt founder cashed 23 times last year when he won the Player of the Year race and he has matched that record at the WSOPE. He cashed for his 5th event in Rozvadov, to go along with his 18 cashes in Vegas, in the €2,200 PLO event. 

Three events remain including the Main Event for him to beat that record, but Chris is not known for playing High Rollers so he may skip the €100,000 event. 

WPT & partypoker LIVE events announced

Earlier this year we brought you the news that the World Poker Tour and partypoker LIVE were teaming up on several key events, meaning you will be able to qualify for WPT events at partypoker, including with PPL dollars.  

Those venues and dates have now been confirmed:
