The largest No Limit cash game pot in online poker history

A record that stood for 12 years was broken this week in a private online game on the GG Network.

The last few years have seen the records for online tournaments broken again and again, but high stakes cash games seem to have taken a back seat. However, during the online WSOP some of the VIP cash games at the GG Network have been enormous. 

So much so that this week the biggest No Limit cash game pot in online poker history went down between Wiktor 'limitless' Malinowski and Michael Addamo. The invite-only $500/$1,000 table saw both players sit down with 400 big blinds effective. 

You can see how the action went down in the tweet below but it was basically a Pocket Kings vs Pocket Aces set-up where a lot of money went in preflop and the rest went in by the river of what was a very dry looking board for an overpair.

The final pot was $842,438.62 and gave Malinowski a seven-figure stack at the end of it. This broke a 12 year record for largest online No Limit cash game pot, beating the previous $723,941 contested in a pot between Tom Dwan and Di Dang from Full Tilt Poker. 

There are, however, three PLO cash game pots from 2009 that are still bigger than this, all three of which involve Viktor Blom and two of which are seven-figures. The biggest pot in online poker history stands at $1,356,947 and was won by Patrik Antonius against Blom.
