Another Pro-Am Super High Roller announced

A $200,000 buy-in tournament takes place next month and you have to be invited by a recreational player to attend.

It gets forgotton about because the pandemic happened soon after it, but in 2019 the Triton Million captured attention because of it's huge buy-in, but also because of the Pro-Am format. 

Now another Super High Roller event is trying out the Pro-Am format, the $200,000 buy-in Coin Rivet Invitational takes place between September 10-12 at the Luxon Pay Mediterranean Poker Party in Cyprus. 

The format includes two brackets, one with 32 professionals playing on one side and 32 recreational players on the other side. It is a freezeout and the two brackets meet on Day 2. 

For a professional to play, they have to be invited by a recreational player. Rob Yong has invited 2022 Main Event champion Espen Jørstad, Bobby Baldwin has invited Ben Lamb, Paul Phau is bringing Phil Ivey and Paul Newey has invited Steve O'Dwyer. The remaining 28 recs and their 28 guests have yet to be announced. 

Paul Phau and Jason Koon are part of a committee to determine which invited players will be classed as pros or amateurs (so it looks like Jason Koon will be there). 

Expect the event to be streamed as it is part of the Triton Poker Series of Super High Roller tournaments taking place that month.
