GGMasters forced to cancel
For the second time in as many weeks the GGMasters $5 million guaranteed freezeout has run into technical issues. This time forcing the event to be cancelled entirely.
The 5th Anniversary event was forced to reschedule with 21,992 players already registered on Sunday February 23 because of a system issue with the client. The rescheduled event resumed the following Sunday without a hitch, but the problems came the following day on the official Day 2.
Players were reporting being three and hour handed despite the event still having over 12,000 runners remaining.

GG were unable to rectify this table balancing issue and ultimately had to cancel the tournament entirely.
After encountering further issues, the unfortunate decision has been made to cancel the tournament.
We understand the inconveniences for players throughout, and we sincerely apologize.
Players will be issued refunds as per game cancellation policy. https://t.co/sCuuT9yrM2 https://t.co/TxzaZRqKRj

As per the site's cancellation policy, as the tournament was still in late registration no overlay was incurred. 50% of the prize pool is to be evenly distributed among the remaining players and the other 50% based on chip counts.
The decision has particularly angered those affected because they had already changed plans to play in the rescheduled Day 1.
