You dont have to pay tax for luckgame winnings. But there is the possibility that the tax office want to get your money anyway. In this case you will have a trial. Your oppositon will argue that your game (poker) is normally a luckgame, but not in your case, because you can find some advantages to make it a skillgame. If the judge then says, that its no luckgame in your case, you will have to pay tax. But the judge can also say, that its still a luckgame. Then you dont have to pay tax. So this is a very grey area in law.
The best thing you should do, is, to stay in stealthmode. If you cash out some money, keep the money on your bankaccount for a while. Dont ship it to another place directly. And do not tell everybody, that you are a professional player. So dont be cocky. I personally tell, that im an investor or trader at the markets, or I just say, that im a student at university (what is true). I never have had troubles with tax although I had tried to become a police man in the past and although I dont pay any income taxes (I have no official job). And I have been doing so for about 10 years by now. A friend of mine has been doing it another way. He has a small job (i guess 10 or 15 hours per week). If you have a friend with his own business, maybe he employs you. Of course you will have to pay him, because you are cost factor on him, if you dont work for him for real. But to say it clear, if you have a job officially, but you dont work for real, this is illegal. So if you find a job, then maybe you should really work there.
