CO opens pretty large. 3.5x the big blind is a big size. A size this big merits an adaption to your responding range.
First, don't cold call in SB. The larger the size of the open raiser is, the less you cold call. If he minraises, maybe you can cold call some hands. But when he raises bigger it is 3-bet or fold every time. In principle KQo is a 3-bet hand versus an open raise from a steal position which CO is. Please look into the chart. Against such a big open raise a fold may also be considered. The larger the opponent raises, the more careful you have to be with your hands because the risk raises with bet size.
Offsuit hands you should never cold call. Those hands are 3-bet or fold strictly if you are not in BB.
On the flop you hit top pair good kicker. This is not a monster. It's a medium strength hand. The opponent has stronger hands in his range like KK+, AK, maybe 55, 44. He doesn't have many weaker hands that would pay out a checkraise. You just call with the intend to see the showdown if nothing bad happens.
On the turn something bad happens. The turn card isn't that terrible even if it makes some straights. The opponent shouldn't have many of them. But the opponent bets pot size and that's a bad thing.
It looks like the opponent wants to play for stacks. In this limit this is practically always a very strong hand. It is highly likely that you are beat. Lay down. You are playing against KK+, AK, maybe 55, 44, A2s, 76s.
On the river the same happens. It is again almost a pot size bet. Again, lay down.
