Hi,

you can consider ofc to flod preflop, but this would be too weak imo with JJ even against that villain.
On flop he either has 99, AQ, QQ+ or AK.

Why exactly do you call on flop? What do you hope for/expect him to have?

How was your plan for turn and river, if
a) he bets turn and
a1) shoves river?
a2) checks river after you called turn?

b) he checks turn and
b1) checks river again if you checked turn behind?
b2) checks river again if you bet turn and he called?
b3) shoves river if you checked turn behind?
b4) donkshoves river if you bet turn and he called?

c) check/raises(shoves) turn?

What did he have?

Best regards,
Anin

Hi anin .

I thought he has something like TT+ and AK ,it's a 3% range

On the flop i call because he is c.betting his entire range there on that dry board and he bets just half pot,on the turn i'm planning on folding on bad turn cards (A,K)and calling on good ones (or shoving on J or T). The turn gives 4 more outs for his gutshot if he has AK and i thought i have enough fold equity ..maybe he folds some percentaje of the time AA/KK,AQ so i ship it

Btw he had 99

Hmm. You cant fold pre, thats for sure.
I also call the cb with only 1 over.
I assume AK gives up on the turn, so when he bets again he has something decent here. The very weakest hand in his range is now AQ - I dont think he normally barrels TT here.

Given that (and the fact that much of his range is a whole lot stronger) I wouldnt credit yourself with any feQ on the turn, so I dont like the shove. I even think his bet sizing is all about getting you committed, without scaring you off.

You've about 20% equity against that range, and need only 25% with 2.8:1 pot odds so I like a call on the turn. We almost always get the rest of his stack on the river if we hit since he cant fold anything.

could the judge confirm (or deny) my thinking?
thx

actually vs 3% 3b we can fold if we dont have solid plan on playing not hitting atleast overp.

Actually i thought about it and it's an easy call on the turn i guess. Given the odds it's an easy river decision..if he shoves and i hit my OESD or my set it's an easy call,if he checks and i miss i check behind and if he bets and i miss easy fold. _mad: pretty shure this is by far the best line .

My problem is that i didn't think about the odds ,i just saw the smalish bets and thought he is weak and that i have FE . Next time i'll play better :f_biggrin:

Agree.

I even think we have some foldequity on the turn (not much though) the times he actually 2ndbarreld AK - but a) we don't have enough to justify a shove and b) this means once we shove we only get worse hands to fold.
In order to make the semibluff a good play we'd need to get better hands to fold, but the worst better hands are QJ and KQ - I doubt he ever folds them.

Imo against such a tight range you can call easily.
That is because you know exactly what it is: JJ+,AK.
so on K high and A high boards you have a supereasy fold.
On Qhigh and lower boards you can call one barrel and try to get to SD cheap. I don't expect a player who 3bets that tight to be very creative postflop with his air.

Additionally since his range is so strong there's a lot of setvalue.
