I’m currently working on a website particularly improving its performance. Since tag management evolved rapidly over the years I know there are solutions available to ensure that marketing tags are being managed properly. Do you know where I can get hold of this system this would definitely make my job easier and can I be assured that no data is being leaked to my client’s competitors?

Tags can affect the performance of a computer system that's why many companies have been looking into a solution to manage tagging and tracking that will prevent issues and data leaked just like what you have mentioned. Nevertheless, I've got these three choices from a friend that might suit your needs in terms of tag management services. These are tealium , ghostery and google tag manager.
Tealium and google tag manager were already mentioned by my friends and I heard the "usual feedbacks" about these software. Anyway, I will check Ghostery and see what is the difference. TY
