From now on you find the new reviews on the bottom. July 4 This Days coaching was nice i think, we had interesting Hands and some discussions about how to play Draws with Showdown Value. Firsttsunami could not come. If u have a strong Draw but also some SD Value its often better to play passively, because no better hands will fold and you can try to induce bluffs. So a 8 high Flushdraw is much better to semibluff with then a A-high Draw, because you will rarely get a Pair to fold, but easily T or J-high hands. In this Hand a raised the Flop, hoping to induce a Reraise, so that i can raise again on the Turn. He c/r his Flush on the Turn which was nice for me, because i saved 1BB. Final Pot: 19.0BB SB: QT, SB: A3 The tilty guy was SB and during the hand i took long time and wrote in the chat i have to think and stuff and esecially on the river i wrote a lot of stuff in the chat what probably tiltes him, so i think this might be the reason why he paid 4 Bets on the River with only TwoPair. Nasty but funny :) June 22 I´ll just introduce Firsttsunami a little bit: He´s a 23 years old guy from Kassel, Germany and workes for PS.com for over a year now. He is well known on the german board as a professional Hand-Judge and also produces Videos. He´s not in training so is english is still a little bit slow, but this will be better with more experience, i had the same problems at the beginning. He´s a nice guy (i know him personally) and a good player and analyst, so i think it will be fun in the future. He is Hand Judge at the German Site and i just gave him voice rights. He liked it and now officialy will help me coaching in all the english Coachings. The Session was okay, the tables are just much worse at noon then they are at the Sunday Night Coaching, much more tags hanging around. The 25BB i won could easily have been 50 with more of the typical fishes in the hand. Again it was clear how much money you safe, because they don´t get their value by playing very passive. This is a nice thing about playing 2/4, you rarely get into tough spots :) June 1- June 10 WSOP Las Vegas :) May 30 Yesterday and the day before i won 100BB in the 1/2 Coachings, but on 2/4 and higher the coahcing downswing goes on. But this time i was only loosing little, a maniac paying me off gave me some money back. I lost 150-200BB in the last 4 or 5 coachings. as a default i should call here, but my read (opponent and timing tell) said i was beat.. if he would have been totally unknown, i would call.

Today Coaching started a little bit later, but also ended a little bit later.. i was around break even in the end. we had a lot of bad players on the tables, especially calling stations, and one semimaniac.

I Want to look at one Hand i play, which i think is very interesting.

UTG+1 Tag
Bu = random fisch

Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is BB with 5♠ 5♥
UTG folds, UTG+1 raises, CO folds, Button calls, SB folds, Hero calls.

Flop: 5♦ T♦ 3♠ (6.6SB, 3 players)
Hero checks, UTG+1 bets, Button calls, Hero raises, UTG+1 calls, Button 3-bets, Hero calls, UTG+1 folds.

Turn: 6♣ (7.3BB, 2 players)
Hero bets, Button calls.

River: K♥ (9.3BB, 2 players)

I played i strange looking line here, but i think it is actually played very well:

Flop c/r: is standard, for Value.

Call of the 3Bet: UTG+1 is a TAG, he always just has two overcards after bet/call on the Flop, which means he is drawing dead against me, i don´t want to kick him out. the extra value i get from him on the turn if he hits is higher then the 1SB on the flop i might get if I cap.

Donk Turn: What is Button doing? He is call/3betting the Flop, his range is polarized between a flushdraw and a good madehand. the flushdraw he could CB -> donk. the madehand he might raise-> donk/3bet.

C/R River: If he has busted Flushdraw, the Check is obviously the best choice, if he has the madehand, i think it will be strong enough to bet the river if I check.

If somebody has arguments against it i would be happy to hear them.

In todays Coaching i was facing some very strange opponents. 3 Times guys called down with hands that has been the nuts or close to it. One Time a guy checked behind the nutstraight on the river, no flush or FH possible..

I was running bad btw, lost around 100$. Against good players i would have lost the double amount with this cards, this is also where you get your winrate from.

The was 1 hand we discussed a lot:

I now see that i talked crap in the coaching, i thought i raised preflop all the time, then the River would have been very tricky, there are arguments for every Line: c/r, c/c, b/f, b/c. We were very unsure which one is best.

I thought a Ten is unlikely after his CB on the Flop, and i thought he must put me on A high, so is decided to c/r to get the maximum from a Pair or draw.

If it was unraist Preflop a Bet on the river seems to be the best play because he is unklikely to bet a lowpair.

I´m back at Coaching. I was in India for Holiday during the last 5 weeks. Todays Session started very well, i had a lot of good beats und sucking guys out. Unfortunately my Luck changed and I lost every Hand in the 2nd part of the Coaching, in the ende i lost 90$.

This is a Free SD Raise i like very much. With my J high i´m ahead against most draws, every straightdraw and a lot of Flushdraws and i also have the chance that better hands fold, for example K high bluffs or small pockets.
