Hey everyone I play $0.05/0.10 on pokerstars. Usually I take around $10which is a lot more than most people recommend. When I took 50 big blinds which was $5, it was really hard to get value out of the hands becuase people kept re reaising every single hand since they didn't have to risk huge stacks.

I kept losing blinds waiting for a hand where I could push. What do I do? Do I stick to $10, because when I bring
$10 I usually make 50-70 cents but nothing more than that.

Any good amounts to be taken and what kind of strategy to play with? I used to think I was a good player but when I see myself losing consistently and folding way too easily, I think I need to change my strategy.

100BB (10$) is definitely optimal..

25BB should be enough (so it's $2.5 on your limit).. I've used this buy-ins on 0.10/0.2 & 0.15/0.3 & 0.25/0.5 and it looks fine. You can always rebuy when you have 12BB or less (you need at least 12BB all the time). There's no need to have more than 25-30 because you cant use them and other thing is: the lower stack the less dangerous you seem to be to your opponents ;)

btw: what rake is on 0.05/0.1 on PS? Maybe you should start at 0.1/0.2 as advised in strategy articles

ups, blind me, nevermind.

yes 25BB is enough. you should reload after taking a big hit though

I would buy in with 50BB so you don't need to worry about rebuys as much.

Touché. ;)

Btw on higher FL limits a normal buyin is recommended because with bigger stacks you might get more respect from even worse players which you often don't want. (I bought in for 50BB too until some good player said that this isn't optimal. Well the difference might be very small. ;))

20-25 BB is more than enough.

Below 15 Rebuy.

Buy in with some weird amount so it looks like you're almost broke.

I was actually going to post the similar thread in the NL section, in case you were wondering why I said "all in", but then I found that this was about Fixed Limit so i rather ask a question about that since I do play that with a similar problem, so I edited my post but forgot about the all in part.

Now its edited.
