The introduction of these articles emphasizes that I shouldn't start reading them until I have enough experience. When is a good time to start reading them?

Very intelligent. Short and simple

If you want help from someone I don't think that the best way is to act like jerk

I think we're just being a little sarcastic that's all. :P

Seriously though I've probably played about 500 hands. Would that be enough experience, or does it really matter?

Seriously. You can start when you ever want. Just think after you read them not to start doing staff that you are not understanding.
There is absolutely no harm of more knowledge under your belt.

Good luck on the tables

I'd recommend you to get at least some basic feeling for how to play FL and which hands have which value etc.

So basically when you know the basic articles from A to Z you can start the bronze articles. If you don't understand, don't hesitate to ask, that's what we're here for :)

And I knew you were joking

Hehe I actually chuckled at your deodorant comment. Thanks for the advice guys.

No problem
You are welcome any time ;)
