Hey People ... I'm buying some poker books and sklansky is confusing me ?? He has about 10 books !!! Where to start ..

1. Hold 'Em Poker by David Sklansky (Paperback - Dec 1996)

2. Hold'Em Poker for Advanced Players (Advance Player) by David Sklansky and Mason Malmuth (Paperback - Jun 1999)

Would this be the best way to start with his books ?? Because he also has

3. The Theory of Poker by David Sklansky (Paperback - Dec 1994)

oh why didn't he just put poker 1 - by David Sklansky and then Poker 2 and so on :)

All help welcome !!!

Harrington on Hold'em vol.1-vol.2-vol3

very very good books

all books by Dan Harrington are very good and you should try Phil Gordon's Little Green Book its very good for cash player

Theory of Poker is good etc..

Dan Harrington i recommend all 3 volumes

first it should be enough if you read the strategies availible here.

but if you need some here is a recommended list for LIMIT hold'em

The best Limit Hold'em Books

here is our book section:

What will you play or playing now? For micro limits I sugest you:
- Small Stakes Hold'em by Ed Miller, David Sklansky and Mason Malmuth
- Wining Low limit Hold'em by Lee Jones
Those two books I found very interesting and useful.
Last but not least, there is great tutorial also on PokerStrategy for bronze area, althought it has no explanation for post flop play, only Odds and Outs.

be carefuil with small stackes hold'em. I don' recommend it to beginners because many will play far to aggressive after reading it.
its a great book but read it after you read winning low limit hold'em or afteer you reached 0,5/1$

I read it first and now I'm reading Low Limit Hold'em. And I'm normally aggressive by stats in PT.
Otherwise I do aggree with you.
