Is FL dead (specially FR)?

Hi, there.

Yesterday I decided to come back and try to play a bit of micro FL.

Cause I hadn't been playing, thinking or reading about poker for ages (about 6 or 7 years), I started to poke around, looking for a good room/site for FR and surprisingly, I couldn't find any.

What has happened? Does anyone still play FL FR?

If don't, what would be the most closest-to-FL-variant for beginners?

Thanks!

Hi pguest,

FL FR is close to dead (unfortunately). You have to play 6max if you want to play Limit Hold'em. If it has to be Fullring I would probably play No Limit on stars, there you still have enough tables up to the midstakes.

NLHE and FLHE are off course complete different games. Then is playing 6 max most likely better to do to change to NLHE, but that depends on what you like the most.

Howdy!

There is still some FL action, but it is irregular and much less than it was until Black Friday. If you want to play FL, it is better to play 6-max and/or combine it with other poker format. Or you could decide to be patient and wait for a miracle. And maybe someday we will see lots of FL full ring tables running again.

Why would anyone want to still play FL in 2018? No rakeback, game completely solved for HU and probably close to be solved for 6max. There will be no miracle, just switch to NL.
