Can you try counting the odds in these hands?

First hand is our. Please don't include no backdoor out. Only the outs we have to improve to the turn.

a) K :diamond: Q :diamond: vs 2 :spade: 2  Flop: J :diamond: T :diamond: 3 :club:

b) 5 :spade: 4 :spade: vs. 2 :spade: 2  Flop: 7 :spade: 6 :spade: 6 :club:

c) J :diamond: T :diamond: vs 5 :spade: 5  Flop: 9 :diamond: 8 :diamond: 8 :club:

d) K :diamond: Q :diamond: vs 2 :spade: 2  Flop: J :diamond: T :diamond: T :club:

a) 21 (9 flush + 6 straight + 6 OC)

b) 23 (8 flush + 6 straight + 6 OC + 3 7's for two-pair higher kicker)

c) 23 (8 flush + 6 straight + 6 OC + 3 9's for two-pair higher kicker)

d) 23 (8 flush + 6 straight + 6 OC + 3 J's for two-pair higher kicker)

I think thats about it :)

Everything OK, but b) is one less, because he has 2 of spades.
Interesting topic, I like it.

you sure? It must be me who can't see it:
b)
Spades: 3, 8-A = 8 spades
Straights: All 8's and 3's except for the spades which has already been cointed: 6
Cards to a higher two pair: All 5's and 4's left: 6
Cards to a twopair on the board (gives us the better kicker): All 7's left = 3

Total: 23 outs

The only outs which isn't that good is the 7's, since the river card will very often lead to a split pot.

Hmm but why aren't c) + d) 24?

9 flush outs + 6 straight + 6 overacrds + 3 J / 9

Can you count this again? In the book I read it it was all 23 outs but I counted it more than 5 times and always found 24.. can't find my mistake :/

My mistake, you're right. Sorry.

It makes him full house (one card of your flush cards) and doesn't make you straight flush so it is not your out.

ahh wonderful thx :)
