where do you make your profit in $0.5/1 or $1/2 fixed limit tables? i've tried to play in PartyPoker, but didn't beat it. are smaller sites more profitable?

no worries, if you are a beginner it is not likely that you are born as a winning player.
In general traffic for FL is not too big on all of our partner sites as the popularity for this great game is not really increasing.
Choices for you are PartyPoker, but also our IPoker-Skins (William Hill for max Strategypoints) and PokerStars.
