i think that his potsized bet means that he has an ace a lot of the time and very rarely a pocket pair, but low ace because there is no raise

so there is a very low chance of him folding, so the pot of 400 doesnt give you the right odds to go all in with a flush draw which hit ~1/3 times

if you hit a 5, it wont be top pair
if you hit a k, you have no kicker and will pay people who have a king with higher kicker but will probably not get any money from second pair so i would just fold preflop

I have 13 outs, don't forget the straight draw.

villains were stations. I'm pretty sure this is a +ev play against them. these guys had a vp of over 60% if I recall.

BTN raiser got into some bad pots with UTG in previous hands, and appears to be on tilt for the last couple of hands.

while I understand that in a vacuum K5s is not a great hand to play, I believe its strong enough to play against these players in particular.

I do not overplay these hands and pay off, and believe I have enough of an edge to outplay them.

My understanding is this is a reasonable spot to shove since:

1.getting a fold will increase my stack by around 20%
2.I have a TAG image, esp when I go all in
3.These particular villains call with worse, so while my fold equity might be low, my hand value is actually ahead of their range quite often.
4. In the cases where they do have a strong hand, I may outdraw them. eg 3 straight outs vs a bigger flush draw if it misses.

I would fold from the SB and i would fold the flop.

I would complete preflop with very few hands, maybe 22-77. Hands like KQ, KJ, AT+ 88+ should be a push if UTG is able to fold: he might just want to see a flop because he's a big stack but avoid confruntation preflop.

If the blinds would increase in <1 min i would definately push the above hands.

I can understand the flop raise but i would not do it. The reason why it could be considered is that you're surrounded by big stacks and you're low on future perspectives.

But there's an Ace there and you're giving a loose passive detached chip leader 2:1 odds ---> he won't fold. Is the chip leader passive or agressive?

And once you're all in you're 32%+4*3%=44% to win the hand. So your opponent needs to fold some hands to your flop raise to be profitable here.

Against an opponent who's often conti-betting the flop very often and if you had at least t400 more it should work.

And remember there's another monkey to act behind you!

All in all i would say bad idea to do anything else except folding in every spot.

push if you think they are loose and limp/folding a lot of hands
(even this is very marginal, I would just fold)
