Choosing the right Poker Room for you!

I had a similar question above regarding FDB so im going to use some of the post here. Our Ipoker rooms are very good regarding first deposit bonuses. They have good traffic for cash games and a range of SNG's.

I would suggest playing the rooms in this order so long as you can afford to deposit a minimum of $1k. This is so you get the full $2k deposit bonus.

I would also suggest playing on Betfred aswell. They are also a Ipoker skin but they do not have the $2k bonus. Theirs is a $400 FDB. However they have a very soft rake race. Raking anything over 1k will have you making top 3 in the rake race. This can add a good return on top of the FDB.

What about the trafic on the sites you suggested ?

When I was playing cash the traffic for 50nl was good for 12-16 tabling.

I imagine the traffic for SNG's may be lower then the likes of stars/party.

When I looked at traffic for $5+ SNG's there seemed to be a lot going. Im not a regular in the SNG games so I cant give a definite answer.

The only thing I can say is when it comes to rewards vs traffic, Ipoker is going to give the best results. You may get more traffic at Party/Stars but the rewards are not as high as those at Ipoker.

What is your priority for the room as we can cater for both options if required?

The best thing is a good mix of trafic and reward...

I usally play cg or sng depending on what is best for the fdb (rakeback%)

Well i want the room to have atleast 9+ cashgames running of my limit and it would be great if i could multitabling(18+) Dons. Other by that, a good Vip program doesnt hurt

So i think i going for WH first and then Betfred becouse of the ralerace.

In general SNG players get more VIP points per $1 of rake. So the best rakeback will be available to those playing SNG's.

I know that the table cap for cash games is 16. I would have to check if the same applies to SNG's or if playing a mix has a effect on the table cap.

I doubt you will have over 16 SNG's running unless you mix the $10 with smaller/larger games.

My goals for the next 3 months... Get my $ph up to $10 would be nice, currently at $5ph.

The best site to get your hourly up is going to be 888. They have great traffic at these stakes and some fishy games to suit.

Sorry to be a pain but could I ask why 770 is better? I was actually considering everest as someone said it was quite easy to beat the micros on, but maybe that person hadnt tried both to compare.

Both rooms will be similar in terms of standard of the players. Its down to personal preference but I know that there is more traffic at Poker770 so it will be easier for you to find games to play.

I was wondering, since im playing only SNG 9 handed for the moment, what options of sites do support 9 handed SNG? I only find 10 handed...

anyway I know this sites:

888poker (Where I play ftm)
Pokerstars
(Full tilt)

Thought I'd put this in here for some responses...

I've just started playing HU Turbo SnG on 888. I wouldn't mind staying there but I'm paying 7.4% rake at the $2.70 BI.

Compared to Ipoker $2+0.10 (4.8) Turbo and Stars $3.32+$0.18 (5.1) Turbo.

My stars acc isn't tracked with PS and I have a tracked Poker770 account that I use the free $7 on. Would it be worth moving platforms for the 2ish% decrease in rake? And if so what would you guys recommend?

I think you would be best of staying where you are. The decrease of 2% in rake wont be that noticeable.

What you also have to think of is your overall ROI. If your ROI on 888 is 20% but only 15% on stars/ipoker then even with the 2% rake increase on 888 you are best of there.

By all means try a room on Ipoker (softer games then stars) but I am fairly confident the 2% rake wont have as big a impact as you think when you consider the standard of the players at either room.

I prefer 9 handed over 10 handed, mainly cause I think that one more person at the table do alot about the paid structure, if it is top three that is geting paid in a 9 handed, I do most of the time place 1st at the 8.80$ SNG at 888. On 10 handed it's one more guy, I think it makes a different to my game. And the reason that I look for one more site is cause I will try very soon, If I can make enought money to making a living out of the weak competition on 888poker. The only thing that talk negative to that part is the trafic, and that's why I thought that one more site to play on would be great. What do you think?

I would probably add some 5.50$ to my play just to get more games going faster.

Whoops I just withdrew yesterday haha been playing on Poker 770 with the free $7 and have gotten that to 20BI for the $1 level. If I deposit a small amount in there to play the $2 HU SnG and onwards as my role gets bigger, is the traffic any good through the low to midstakes?

If it was me I would try and gradually move up the stakes on 888 as the games are soft there. Adding the 5.50's etc. I am still looking to see what rooms offer the 10 handed over 9 handed.

The one thing I would say, you are restricting your options a lot by keeping to 9 handed over 10 handed. Have you tried playing a few to see how much difference it makes?
