First, I hope whatever it said, it would say you have a set of kings.
Pokerstars already does this. In the bottom right of the table window it will tell you what your current hand is.
But honestly, I would highly recommend you put a lot more time into just playing. Play tight, play aggressive, and get used to the very very basic fundamentals (yes I realize I'm being redundant) of the game. You need to get used to know what hands you have easily, this is a prerequisite to recognizing what hands opponents could have. That is a prerequisite to winning.

Okay, now I'm really pissed and I think it's time to give up poker. Honestly, how much bad luck must you have to lose three days straight with good flops. I doubt anyone here has as much bad luck as I have. Lost almost 3 dollars over the last three days. Every time someone gets just the card that makes me lose. It's uncanny how bad my luck really is.

I'm really tempted to just take my computer and throw it right out of the window.

Just now I had the best hand of the day A/K. I raise and get called by one player. A/K/4 on the flop. I go all-in and what does that f*cker have? Pocket 4s. Stuff like this has been happening all the time these last three days.

a) make a game plan - I mean a serious one. Think of it like a business. Decide on your mission, list how you will reach the goals, and what advantages you have on the competition ( eg you have more learning resources, a willingness to learn, patience, a fold button)

b) create a volume goal of some sort, work towards it.

c) decide what you are going to learn, and in what order. just make sure you have a plan in this regard. it might be to read x article or x book or have a coaching session once a month and find your leaks and then work on them.

d) volume goal

e) decide what you are going to do after you reach said goals. will you rinse and repeat, or will you need to make changes?

if you intend to play MTTs make sure you have a big enough bankroll for it. MTTs are real time leeches. unless you are 4+ tabling them it can be hard to justify.

why not pick a variant which lets you make cash on a more steady basis, use it to increase your bankroll and ur skillz, and then re-evaluate what u wanna do? 9 max and 6 max cash are great options.

All of it sound advice, but what's the cure to bad luck? If you fold every time you don't have the nuts you'll probably never win anything.

Poker results aren't evaluated after one day's worth of hands. They are evaluated after at least 100,000 hands. Any one hand, or small number of hands, is almost entirely random. It's only after a massive number of hands that good play starts to be reflected in the results.

Ah, okay. I understand. But you have to admit it's frustrating.

Why do people play with playmoney? Do you think it has to do with income/h?

The only cure for bad luck is volume. I mean your playing for 3 days and are already whining about losing a few stacks. You gotta get used to losing 10-20 stacks a day depending on variant your playing since it will happen no matter how good you get.

And giving up on your goals after a few days is just being a pussy.

By all means, manage tilt with a timeout. It's standard practice. Best of success when you do come back to the tables.

Anyone who's played poker for any length of time will have thought about quitting, happens to everyone. Just percevere and work out a method of coping.

Some people end up quitting, some don't all depends on you personally. I never decided to quit myself except for short breaks but I essentially did, one day I just suddenly stopped playing a lot. I made a good amount of money with poker but I spent pretty much my whole bankroll on Skiing and tilted violently when caught up in the really tedious nature of the micros again.

I might be ready for a comeback this summer though

oh, playing tight works by the way. I started with the SSS and turned my original $50 starting capital into a bankroll that I could shot NL400 SSS with.

I like to play tight, but I wonder what the best strategies are.

Are there any videos where a player demonstrates through a whole game how you play tight?

I'd really like to know what hands to play, when to fold preflop,...

And I'd especially like to know what I should do at tables where in every round there's at least one player who raises preflop by 3-4 big blinds?

Here are my 2 cents.
Best strategy is to win the maximum when you have the nuts and lose the minimum when you hold the second best hand:P.

Yeah, if you get the nuts. Which happens every few hundred hands if you only play the good cards.

Believe me, I've tried that. Whatever hand I have there always seems to be at least someone who has a better one. I usually lose against players like you. They play any crappy hands and yet most of the time manage to get good card on the table. That's absolutely sickening.

I can't even count the number of times I lost on the turn to a crappy straight or a crappy flush.

You know what? I actually read whole this thread and I think you should just quit playing poker. You will never be good at it. The only thing you are good at is moaning and complaining.

People are wasting their time to give you sound advice, yet you just keep on moaning... not even a thank you!

When I started 8 months ago, I read and studied strategies for 2 weeks before I played my first real money hand. I have had bad runs that last for almost 3 months in a row lasting over 60, 000 hands. At one moment I almost cried, how bad it was. But kept on, reading, and playing, playing the same "losing" way, because some people, who have played poker for years, told me that it is the right way and I trusted them.

It has turned over now Now for 2 months I am on hot streak I can hardly do a thing wrong, but still I managed to lose 6 buy-ins in just one day (1500 hands) and that is still nothing. I know that there will be worse days. But I also know that there will be more good days than bad days... Because I keep learning every day. And winning poker is all about learning.

As for your bad luck...

It takes skill to get lucky

So, please, quit now and let these people give advice to someone, who deserves it!

I've never thought about that. Adicted to the game but not the moneypart so I would play with playmoney if I got broke. Still play with playmoney actually trough my cellphone on Bwin.
