Simon1989 is unfortunatelly out of the EPT Copenhagen Main Event already during Day 1A, here is how it went down:

It was folded to Anton Wigg in CO, who raised it up to1,400 with blinds of 300/600, and Simon was in small blind and pushed his last ~8,500 in. Wigg snap called and flipped over Q Q, and was a clear favourite vs. Simons A J.

The board of 4♠ 9♠ 9♥ - 6♣ - T♠ were of no help for Simon1989 who had to leave his seat. He was clearly disappointed and frustrated, and agreed that it had been a tough day playing shortstacked for almost 5 levels.

One pretty symptomatic situation was when it was folded to Simon in small blind, and he shook his head and flipped over 3-5o. He didn't even get a decent stealing hand.

Here is Simon just before pushing his last chips over the line in the last hand:

We will see if he comes back tomorrow to play the side event with DKK 15,000 buy in.

Now lets hope that GoMore21 can keep his pace up and make his stack grow even more during the last two levels of play.

With only a few minutes left until we start the last level of the day, we have some chipcounts for you. They are seen from a few meters away, so could be a couple of 1,000 up or down:

The last level of play today will have blinds of 400/800, and an ante of 75. There are 159 players left, and the average stack is 40,188.

Not a lot of action so far during the last blind level on GoMore21's table.

Seems like most of the players are waiting for Day 1A to end.

With just over 20 minutes to go of the last level, there was finally some action on GoMore21's table, however, he was not involved in the hand.

On a flop of Q 6 9 BB checks, UTG+1 bets 3,400, BU raised it up to 6,800 before BB check-raised it all in to 37,550. That was enough to make both of them fold.

Day 1A is over!
So the play has ended here in Copenhagen, and Day 1A is a wrap. One of the last things that happened was that both Anton Wigg and Theo Jorgensen busted, so he wont be coming back on Wednesday. Wigg was two outed by Anettte Obrestad, when they went all in on the flop J46, all clubs, Anton flippoing over A-J and Anette beeing behind with T-T. A killing T on the river was devastating for Anton who wont be going home with another trophy this year. Theo on the other hand lost all his chips to the guy who is most likely the chip leader after day 1A:

Also, we unfortunatelly lost our Team PokerStrategy.com member Simon1989, after seeing him playing short stacked almost all day, he went out after pushing A-J into Anton Wiggs Q-Q and getting no help from the board.

The Team PokerStars Pro Jonny Lodden is in great shape though, and I'm sure he is looking forward on coming back to the tables on Wednesday. Another one who will be coming back is Peter Eastgate, who had a swingy day, beeing down pretty much in the beginning, but fighting his way back and we sure can count on him on Wednesday as well.

We have played 8 levels today, of each 60 minutes, and out of the 213 people that registered for Day 1A, we have 137 coming back to play Day 2 on Wednesday at 12:00 CET. Then they will start on level 9, with blinds and antes of 500 / 1,000 / 100. The average stack after Day 1A is 46,642, wich is pretty much what our only remaining community member GoMore21 will be stacking up in front of him when he comes back to the tables.

Hello everybody!

We are back from Copenhagen, and the players are just taking their seats, and we will start the day in a couple of minutes.

Today we have 3 Team PokerStrategy.com Players joining the tables:

• Bokkie
• Thorsten77
• VojtaR

We also have a few community members who I will do my best to find:

• HenrikX
• cYde
• MarkusOwnH
• HhCMotU23

I will be back with the first report as soon as the cards are in the air, and also pictures when our photographer gets here in about an hour.

I managed to find our new Team PokerStrategy.com member VojtaR just after he finished his first hand, and what a start he got! With a flush he muilt his starting stack of 30 000 up to over 50 000! Now thats a way to introduce himself to the Team! Lets hope the day continues in the same way!

He is having Jake Cody on his table, among others.

Thorsten77 and Bokkie has also been found, but they had nothing to tell about the first few hands.

Some information about the day:

The blinds are starting at 50/100, and we are playing with blind levels of 60 minutes. The late registration will remain open for quite some while more, so we wont know until in a few hours how many players are starting Day 1B.

I just noticed that HenrikX is sitting at the same table as Thorsten77. HenrikX in seat 4, and Thorsten77 in seat 1.

Thorsten played a couple of small pots, one where he raised QJ, and got called by the two players to his left, Thorsten and one of the two other players called, and HenrikX 3-betted. HenrikX then c-betted on a A high dry board, and both Thorsten and the other guy folded.

VojtaR seems to have added a couple of thousand more to his stack.

Bokkie have played one pot where he 3-betted with AA, and got the other guy to fold with a c-bet on the board 25J, he is up about 800 chips.

Thorsten77 played another pot against HenrikX

it was limped around from several players with Thorsten77 in BB with 45s, he checked and picked up a flushdraw on the flop. it was checked to SB who bet out, Thorsten77 called, and HenrikX once again squeezed with a 3-bet. Thorsten said to me that he couldnt call, since he thought that HenrikX very well could be sitting on a better draw.

HenrikX one the pot and also picked up some other small pots and is up to 37k.

Vojtar keeps accumulating chips and is now up to 60K. But he said that the hands hadn't been very interesting.

There is a small swedish colony on table 25, with Viktor Blom, and the pros Ramzi Jelassi and Anders Svensson in seat 6, 7 and 8.

Sebastian Ruthenberg seems to be up a few thousand as well, with a stack of 35-36k.

So, time for another update: To start with, a pretty nice pot that HenrikX won:

He was in BB, when UTG+1 raised it up to 350, SB and HenrikX called. The flop came
KTx rainbow, and they all checked around.
The turn was a nice 7, but it made a flushdraw possible. SB checked, and HenrikX checked again to induce a delayed C-bet from UTG+1, and he did bet out small, 400. SB called and HenrikX made it 1900. The river blanked, and HenrikX betted out almost pottsize, 5 200. After thinking for a little bit UTG+1 called, and showed T7. A nice pot of HenrikX who is up to about 45K.

Thorsten77 and HenrikX:

VojtaR is at around 55K and we also found MarkusOwnH, who is at around startstack. Thorsten77 is down a few thousands, at around 25K.

I spoke to VojtaR who is saying that his table is pretty aggressive, with a few young "scandinavian online players", who is bluffing a lot.

Seems like both HenrikX and Thorsten77 is pretty active as well.

One hand I saw they both had to fold unfortunatelly, when Thorsten led out pre and raised it up to 450, and HenrikX made it 1200, before BU pushed all in for about 15k.

The players just went on the first 15 minute break, and when they come back the blinds will go up to 100/200. I will try to get some comments from our players during the break.
