I wasn't suggesting we ever could, I'm just saying that the amount of money was small enough that I'm more affected by the betrayal of trust than any monetary loss.
And just because this guy scammed me for a small amount doesn't mean he won't attempt it on a larger scale in the future, especially now he is spurred on by his recent encounters with larceny.
It would be nice to think our staking forums are at least reasonably free of hardcore scammers, even if them being completely safe is an unrealistic ideal.

Funny thing is, he visited my profile a few hours ago.
So I'm pretty sure he's read this.
You try to help someone and this is how you get repaid.
If you were just trying to help him, don't stake the guy, just give him the money. Staking = investing, you just made a bad investment.
We had reports back in my country that there are every weekend two buses full of pickpocketeers heading to our beautiful city to play with foreigners pockets? Guess where they've been from?
I'd lay 3:1 they were of Rrom ethnicity (gypsies).
I've always said things are fucked up in Romania and that most are proud when scamming/cheating some other guys, bribery happens on a day to day basis. But from this to pocket picking there is a long way... I might make a more detailed post in my blog this weekend concerning all this.
Truth of the matter is that you should be very careful when staking anyone, not just because of the initial investment but because of the ROI you deserve if he makes a lot of money.

I think you should always find out how the person you are considering to stake looks like. If he's tall, blond haired, blue or green eyed you should stake him.
You can always try and stake the short, dark haired guy with weird moustache too but he's likely a maniac and might go busto soon.
Anyway, I am going to send proof of these events to the given email address and then let the matter drop.

Generally when I say PS here I mean pokerstrategy. Yes, I realise PS also means pokerstars, but in the context of being on the pokerstrategy forum I figure PS is an acceptable acronym for pokerstrategy. I talk about "sending community messages" and "adding friends"; I figured it'd be pretty clear I mean pokerstrategy and not pokerstars.

I didn't consider it quite the same as staking a random unknown as I venture in a previous thread in this post.

I used to be an active member of the English community, and switched to Romanian community when I became coach, it doesn't seem normal to me that people say pretty bad things about romanian people based on what 1 or 2 or 30 people did , from my knowledge not only romanian people scam others in matter of staking so I guess the joke could stop know?
