[Closed] The Roo should not limp thread

That happens to me almost every time I get pocket aces.

lol I limped with them and even the bb folded

I was limping in with a vpip 20% so was not even playing a tight game!!!

I do normally always raise my premium hands, but as I said in my 1st post, I have been learning to play tricky situations from the flop to help me with my game and limping in to see how I read the game post flop.

Dont think it would have made much difference in this game though

don't play fancy and NL2 -NL4 at all value your good hands and you'll get rewarded.

i got fed up yesterday of everyone folding to my pfraises so i had AA and limped/called a raise and i ended up losing a big pot lol.

I remember reading somewhere here in pokerstrategy that a kitten dies everytime you limp AA.

well if you raised from BB you would probably ended allin preflop so the outcome would be the same?

Don't practice like this it will make you a loose player in the long run and you will forget the TAG play

And never limp AA every time you limp AA lady luck will get mad at you and will make you lose later/

It is perfectly possible to play a winning open-limp strategy at the micros.

True, it is unorthodox, but the key to winning still lies in understanding how different ranges respond to your play. I.e ranges will not be the same in a limped or (limp-called) pot as in one you raised (so if you think you can learn to play in raised pots by practising in limped pots, you are possibly mistaken.)

Ideally you would also mix in a reasonable amount of limp-raising too, rather than just limp-calling all the time.
