today was absolutely mental, went form 4.5k after stupid cooler to 30k without showdown basically, like I know everybody talks about Skandis but they really, really are absolute maniacs.
Got the better of them today but JJ couldn't hold vs Ax.
Looking forward to tomorrow again, the structure is great and hopefully have more than 25% of my chips by the time I've played an orbit this time.

PokerStrategy.com patches are very dominant in today's field and Patrick is on a far easier-to-rail table than yesterday.

Also a not super-interesting but fairly funny hand to report, involving an as-yet-unknown Spanish PokerStrategy.com member:
I missed the action but that's not important. What is important is that a high-pitched, girly scream interrupted the conversation that DanielK, CallumN and I were having. I saw that our PS member was all-in on the flop of K :spade:T :club:7 against A :heart:A
He held A :spade:Q for a myriad of outs, but the anticlimactic turn and river were Q :club:J and our PS member's victory shout was so enthusiastic I'm not sure he realised it was a split pot at first. Or maybe he was relieved in general, who knows?
Either way, it was quite funny to watch.

Players are on their first 15 minute break of the day.
So far we've had 200 players in Day 1b, though registration is open for another two hours. This has brought the prize pool so far to over €520,000.

Yulia, who has the biggest stack of our PS.com staff in the event. I've yet to find out how she chipped up but I'll talk to her on the next break.

DanielK just claimed his first victim of the day!
He raised UTG to 500 (blinds 100/200) and only the BB called with about 7k behind.
The flop was T :club:5 :heart:4 and the BB check-called DanielK's continuation bet, before "snap donk betting" the 4 turn. DanielK called to take us to the 9 river where the BB's last few thousand chips went in.
BB showed A :diamond:T for top pair, top kicker but DanielK rolled over K :spade:K to take the pot and bust the player.
DanielK now has approximately 42k.
