I prefer a river c/c, you split all kings, and he will most likely fold all other hands. Looking at his stats there's a decent chance he will bluff.

am i the only one who folds the flop with MP3 still behind me ? did nl make me weak ? :)

For 1:4,5 I fold PF, KTo isn't a good hand to continue with, it's often dominated and not well connected.

I agree with SeaJaws. This is no standard preflop call an judging him after 22 hands might be wrong as well. KTo doesn't play that well 3-way so just fold it.

I have to equilate the flop to make a decison about that but if it's a call then I like the hand as played. I see some value in a riverbet after his turn check behind. A fold would be tough as he isn't known yet.


Preflop can be indeed called. I didn't imagine that the fish makes our equity that good (as the raise range form CO increases as well).

Preflop was 5.3:1, so I decided to call just because MP3 was very loose and 22 hands of CO mean nothing (it could also be iso-raise consciously or unconciously) - wouldn't call it if there was someone else than MP3 probably.

8.3:1 may be a call even with such low equity (we need 12 with 8.3:1 and 13 if we count rake) taking into account one loose and one maybe-loose opponent. My T out can be enough but should be discounted because of J already shown and K can be dominated (but not so often).. Hitting K on turn gives me chance to c/r even I think donkbet is option too to prevent free card. MP3 won't c/r flop more than 99% of the time (slowplay is strong weapon for fish), so I'm closing flop action ;)

And river seems to be bluff because noone would raise this after check behind on Ace turn (maybe pocket Kings :rolleyes: ), so call should be fine as you said :)

You can't go with potodds and equity on the flop. :/
I don't know how this is being done but it should be saver to go with odds and outs and ignore the equity here. I just wanted to show that you don't have a lot showdownvalue so it's not worth calling for that reason.

KK is very well in his river range. So of course that's the hand here now.

So, just to make sure it's clear to me:

Pot odds are 8.3:1, so I need ~5 outs to call here - that's from approx's chart; correct? So, does the Equity in table (8) correspond to discounted outs in the first collumn? If so, does it mean I have ~20% pot equity with 5 discounted outs?

Just say: yes/yes/yes ;)

Maybe n00b questions but I'm confused now...


1) 4 discounted outs may be fine as well if you give yourself some implied odds but: Yes. :)

2) Should be correct. :)

3) I once read a good rule to calculate your equity by the outs you have. Flop = out * 2 * 2 = equity. Turn = outs * 2 = equity. (That is as there are 47 cards left in the deck and with 1 outs you got 2% of the cards with 2 cards to come on the flop and 1 on the turn.)
