Turnbet is ok as well because he did just check/call. He could have done this with tons of weaker hands like J8 J9 89 QJ KJ K8 K8 A4 A3 etc. Once he didn't checkraise the Flop you have to assume that most of the times he doesn't have a pair.

I played million of hands and of course there are players who don't understand that they are supposed to checkraise the flop and sometimes you're facing the checkraise but you gotta get along with it and knowing he does like playing c/c Checkraise even with weaker pairs like JT you can start checking back but i see enough of worse hands calling again and if he folds J8 he does fold 7 Outs which is a great success for you.

And without good read you can comfortably pay off and see a showdown on a good rivercard. This is just not a good Rivercard and i would actually fold because 68 and a flush has gotten there and the only hands that you still beat are 89 J8 J9 but people are not used to play J8 J9 like that, unless with a flushdraw. On a 2 i would definitely pay off but this card improves flush and straight so you should release your hand!

By the way it's not a big mistake to sometimes check the Turn and you may induce a riverbluffbet from a hopeless hand but basically i would bet again because being still ahead a good portion of the times and i want him to charge the max.
