Preflop: Hero is BU with J♣, T♦
5 folds, Hero raises, SB folds, BB 3-bets, Hero calls.

Flop: (6.50 SB) 9♣, J♥, 3♣ (2 players)
BB bets, Hero raises, BB 3-bets, Hero calls.

Turn: (6.25 BB) 6♥ (2 players)
BB bets, Hero calls.

River: (8.25 BB) 3♥ (2 players)
BB bets, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 10.25 BB

My comment: Easy open raise from BU and call on 3bet(?). After his cbet on flop I'm often ahead (even if I narrow his 3bet range to 10% I'm 56% against his range on the flop and I'm sure his 3bet range is wider). After his 3bet on the flop I decided to call him down to the river except if overcard came)

Is my thinking right or no?

I'm not sure if it's the right move but I'd fold on the 3-bet.
I don't think he's playing like that being on a draw- looks like a made hand to me and your J is pretty much dominated here especially with him being the pre-flop aggressor.

you definately can´t fold to the 3-bet. there is only one more bet to call so you are getting 11.5 to 1... it´s BU vs. BB so is range is quite wide. therefore i think call flop/raise turn should be the best line. your line looks ok as well :)
