19.Poker Stars, $3.29 Buy-in (50/100 blinds) Limit Hold'em Tournament, 2 Players
Preflop: Hero is BB with T 9
SB raises, Hero calls

Flop: (4 SB) 6 2 3 (2 players)
Hero checks, SB checks

Turn: (2 BB) 8 (2 players)
Hero bets, SB raises, Hero calls

River: (6 BB) A (2 players)
Hero checks, SB checks

On flop vs his 80% open range i got just 26% equity.
He checksback. Monster or nothing!
Flop is a Check/Fold right?

Turn- I bet Just because he Checked back, Now he Check/Raises. He has now the Blufraises manytimes before. Overcards?. But also had monsters sometimes.
But the Turn card is pretty good i guess. Now there is a gutshot(4)& 3 outs for my holecards=7->6 to 1(pot odds 5 to 1). Equity still poor. But the pot was 1000chips by now& I call.

And thats a check/fold river.
Suggestions for the Turn play?

OK and finally the last Hand everyone expected. I meant that you people thought Oh GOD when he would Stop
This changed the game.

20.Poker Stars, $3.29 Buy-in (50/100 blinds) Limit Hold'em Tournament, 2 Players
Preflop: Hero is BB with Q 9
SB raises, Hero 3-bets, SB caps, Hero calls

Flop: (8 SB) 3 J 8 (2 players)
Hero checks, SB bets, Hero calls

Turn: (5 BB) 7 (2 players)
Hero checks, SB checks

River: (5 BB) 4 (2 players)
Hero checks, SB checks

This tough fellow capped. I am giving that 36% range.
On this monochrome flop i hope for 2 outs for Q, 1 for 9, 3 for the T =6(7 to 1). Any mistake? Easy call.
The Turn doesnt help anyone i guess. If he bets that 6to1 for me. Fold here?? that would be 1200chips on the Pot.

Accept the spoiler please! :f_biggrin:
Results:

Spoiler

5 BB pot
Final Board: 3 J 8 7 4
Hero showed Q 9 and won 5 BB (2.5 BB net)
SB mucked Q 6 and lost (-2.5 BB net)

Ok Everyone hope i dont get this Crazy again. May be..

2.Poker Stars, $3.29 Buy-in (5/10 blinds) Limit Hold'em Tournament, 2 Players

Preflop: Hero is BB with 5 A
SB raises, Hero calls

Flop: (4 SB) 7 2 6 (2 players)
Hero checks, SB bets, Hero calls

Turn: (3 BB) 4 (2 players)
Hero checks, SB checks

River: (3 BB) 3 (2 players)
Hero bets, SB folds

Is it a Ok call with BDFD-1, BDSD-1& a Overcard-2.5. 4.5 outs strictly(9to 1)? Not getting any pot odds(5 to 1) to call. Did i calculate correct?
But how about equity. I am getting around 45% on this Flop vs any random hand

Turn is a good card giving me an OESD. If he bets can i raise a a Semibluff here.
Right spot?
Ok River was obvious. :f_love:

This is fine, even if I'm employing a 3-betting strategy HU (which I don't always do) A5o isn't in my dafult 3-betting range

Rest of hand is 100% standard

On the Flop, his Check may be a monster or Overcards. But he Check/Calls

Now the Turn Donk is Fishy. If he had an Ace he would obviously Check/Raise or may be he is afraid of me Checking back? Anyways my equity on this Turn is around 49% vs his 3betting range(35%)

The River bring in Backdoor flush and i just have a lower pair. call/Fold??

This definitely looks like Ax especially given your opponent's fishy line. If your opponent's a straightforward fish you can fold here, if it's the first time you've seen it call down

Ok I am calling with my lower pair on Flop because he is 3betting wide and can have anything and its HU.
Turn is a brick and I call.
What if the River is a Q or K and he bets?? Good Fold there may be??

Fine

Good value bet on the river but standard hand

For the rest I'll only comment if I think the hand's non-standard

On this Flop i got a gutshot, No BDFD and two overcards to 5& 4.
Against any random hand Equity is 35.72%
Outs- 3.5 for gutshot, 2 may be for the Cards. 5.5(Did i calculate correct?)So 1:7.5 odds. I get 1:5 pot odds & its a Fold. But Its a Call Equity wise right??

And the Turn is a bad card for me i guess. Equity drops to 24.5%.
if he had bet the Turn, Is it a easy Fold??

Check raise flop!!

As you've said you've probably got 30-35% equity with this hand and you have 8-high, not really a better chance to bluff checkraise heads up than here

And this is a funny hand and i got crazy.
Preflop: Hero is BB with Q 5
SB completes, Hero checks

Flop: (2 SB) A 9 J (2 players)
Hero bets, SB raises, Hero calls

Turn: (3 BB) K (2 players)
Hero checks, SB bets, Hero calls

River: (5 BB) 2 (2 players)
Hero checks, SB checks

Ok I bet the Flop first in, as there is no initiative& he raises me. He limped in AK? Lets see. But would he raise there IP? No. I call.(vs random hand i may have 40% equity)

Turn is more scary he bets. So I am giving him a strong range.
22+,A2s+,K2s+,Q2s+,J2s+,T8s+,98s,A2o+,K2o+,Q9o+,J2o+,T8o+
My equity is just around 14% now
That was a Really bad call.
I wished to chk/Fold River

Ok now the spoiler is only For Ava. Dawnfall& Firsttsunami..Please dont check it. It may affect your decision.

Results:

Spoiler

5 BB pot
Final Board: A 9 J K 2
Hero showed Q 5 and lost (-2.5 BB net)
SB showed 2 3 and won 5 BB (2.5 BB net)

Fold to the flop raise, bet/calling there is horrible. The pot's tiny and even if you have decent equity vs a pure bluff you're going to have to fold on the turn virtually always unless you hit a Q or 5

The turn is just more bad news because now you've paid 2BB in a 5BB pot to chase a backdoor gutshot with Q5-high.

Ok i played this badly
After he called my 3bet i am giving him the following range:
44-22,K3s-K2s,Q4s-Q2s,J6s-J2s,T6s-T2s,96s-92s,86s-82s,73s+,62s+,52s+,43s,A5o-A2o,K7o-K2o,Q8o-Q2o,J8o-J3o,T8o-T5o,95o+,85o+,75o+,65o,54o

And the flop hit his range. My equity now 45.94%. I bet on the Turn scare card. He still calls.

So Is it a Check/Fold River or Bet/Fold River

Check the turn, your bet is totally valueless. You're not getting value from worse and you're not folding out better. Personally I'd check call turn and then think on the river, with the board pairing I might even risk chec/calling river first up

Do you really suggest to Check/Raise Flop here with a gutshot& 8 high?
Wont It be better if i had a BDFD in that spot for that semibluff raise?

If you check-raise for value here, then the range you do it with should be balanced with a bluff check-raise range.

In the simplest model, he is getting 7:1 for a call, so the chances that you bluff should be 1 in 7. That is, for each 6 check-raises for value, check-raise 1 hand for bluffing. This is roughly 14% bluffs. (He should, in this model, be folding 28%, not 14% (2:5 against, because you invest 2 to win 5 with a bluff) - or he'd be exploitable, but that is another story.)

Taking liberties in guessing you ranges (you have a 3-betting range preflop, but flat-called), and taking more liberties in guessing what you'd raise for value (pair of fives with overcard kicker or better), then if you stick to flush-draws with no showdown value, open-ended straight draws, and gut-shots with backdoor flush potential, then you certainly have enough (too many actually in this model) bluffs already (76% value, 24% bluff).

In other models (e.g. "stacking bluffs"), you are supposed to bluff more. But it is easy to begin overbluffing. If you blindly bluff with every hand with decent equity, but no showdown value, then you are practically guaranteed to bluff too much.

Other factors that would change the equations is if you (like many) flat-call or fold in the big blind. Then your value range gets wider, and consequently your bluff range should get wider too. But in your case, I'd give you right. If you bluff with 87 with no BDFD, then there is a risk that you bluff too much.

/***/

But, Boomer is not wrong. You have 8 high and shitty equity. If you play, then a check-raise is better than calling because people fold too much, which you can exploit.
