$0.25/$0.50 Limit Hold'em - 7 players

Pre Flop: (1.4 SB) Hero is BTN with T :diamond: J :club:
UTG calls, 1 fold, MP calls, 1 fold, Hero calls, 1 fold, BB checks

Flop: (4.4 SB) Q  5 :club: T  (4 players)
BB bets, UTG calls, MP calls, Hero folds
Disciplined me figures: "I only have middle pair, board is SD&FD heavy, meaning high RIO... let's just F here". Guess what? Check the hidden results! I folded again the best hand. That's a (recurring) mistake, I can't forgive myself which further helps me tilt.

Turn: (3.7 BB) 2 :spade: (3 players)
BB checks, UTG checks, MP checks

River: (3.7 BB) T :spade: (3 players)
BB checks, UTG checks, MP checks

Final Pot: 3.7 BB
MP shows 8dJd(a pair of Tens)
BB shows 8h3d(a pair of Tens)
UTG shows Js8s(a pair of Tens)
UTG wins 1.8 BB
MP wins 1.8 BB

you need to stop thinking in results and start thinking in ranges. i raise the flop and check the action on the turn, if nobody donks the turn i bet/fold it.

Hi!

Preflop overlimp is quite marginal actually and when you doubt your postflop play you can also just fold it. If you think you got the skill edge joining the pot is fine.

Flop fold is very bad and you should call here. They didnt really show much strength except BB(who isdoing this with very wide range too Qx,good Tx,many draws or sometimes when he is bad even wider) ; other players representing weak drawing hands and Qx+ is not there that often...so you are often still ahead. But yes raise does not make that much sense since you will never charge draws enough to make them fold.

Call and reevaluate on the turn, in this case you have an easy bet with your sec pair on total blank
