Pre Flop: ($0.35) Hero has 9♥ A♠

fold, MP calls $0.25, fold, fold, Hero raises to $0.50, fold, MP calls $0.25

Flop: ($1.25, 2 players) A♦ 9♠ A♥
Hero bets $0.25, MP raises to $0.50, Hero ?

If he's bluffing he will hardly continue after my flop call. If he has something to play for value like 9x, Ax or pocket, I want much value from him without giving opportunities to play cb. So I opt to raise here. Would you play it in a different way?

Hi!

Fine to just 3bet for the reasons you mentioned and also he may percieve your 3bet on such board as a rebluff and may spazz even further.

But I really like to wait till turn with this one for many reasons:
-If he is bluffing you dont really want to push him off and preffer he maybe fires a second barrell(which is not that unlikely) or you at least want him to catch something on the turn
-if he has 9x you gain more value by turnraise(even though he may fold it but I would also make some rebluffs on the turn just for sake of balance,like when we hit FD sometimes) but on such board you can expect calldowns very often
-if he has Ax you gain even more value by your line since you may see him 3betting turn
-finally,balancing point...on this board I would never 3bet(against normal oponents) and I would just call with my whole range which want to continue and there would be Kx,some backdoor flushes,JT hands... and adding some really strong hands balances this range perfectly and make is somewhat stronger

However if you play against a spazzy player then I definatelly preffer fastplaying flops as it will influence his spazzing even more very often.
