fold, UTG+1 raises to $0.30, fold, Hero calls $0.30, fold, BB calls $0.20

FLOP ($0.95) 9♥ Q♣ 8♣

BB bets $0.40, UTG+1 calls $0.40, Hero raises to $1.20, BB raises to $4.78 (AI), UTG+1 raises to $11.21 (AI), Hero ....?

UTG: 19/16, but seen a few dubious raises from UTG, I suspect trying to get to the fish in the BB though as he seems to be a fairly TAG type of player.

BB: 47/12 Never laid down a hand in the BB yet. (6 orbits)

So I call the UTG raise pretty confident that the BB is going to call and I'll get to see a flop with a nice hand that plays well post-flop.

Just wondering what you would do in this spot, I'll post what I did after.

Snap fold IMO, you don't even need to think about range and stuff. Against 2 players you can't go broke with bottom 2 pairs.

For example if one player had the nut straight and the other had nut FD, then you had 18% EV.

Against a top set and a FD you had a miserable .5% EV.

Against top 2 pairs and a FD you had 9% EV. etc...

Only when against a overpair and a FD do you have 43% EV.

Doyle Brunson said bottom 2 pairs is the hand that he lost full stack for the most of times.

I bet you were glad you folded when you saw the hands.

Yeah that I folded, thought you may of looked in my blog lol.

But one had Q,3 (fish in BB) and the TAG had T,Jos

I didn't need to look at your blog. All I needed was going through the equilator

Was educational for me too. Especially in a tournament this could be a critical moment.

Hi,

Agreed, tho it's pretty bad for UTG to just call the fish's donkbet with anything strong enough to jam over a 3-bet. That'd puzzle me a bit, then I'd think "hey even tags are just bad he could be slowplaying tons of stuff" and look at our equity like yeahyoung said, then end up mucking.
