Do you think the hand played as a bluf is ok? I have over 1000 hands with the opponent and he is tight player.

Hero (BB): £15.61 (156.1 bb)
CO: £0.96 (9.6 bb)
BTN: £13.37 (133.7 bb)

SB posts £0.05, Hero posts BB £0.10

Pre Flop: (pot: £0.15) Hero has A♥: 4♥:
fold, BTN raises to £0.25, fold, Hero raises to £0.80, BTN calls £0.55

Flop: (£1.65, 2 players) 4♣: 8♣: 7♠:
Hero bets £0.90, BTN calls £0.90

Turn: (£3.45, 2 players) J♣:
Hero bets £2.00, BTN calls £2.00

River: (£7.45, 2 players) 2♣:

Interesting hand. I'd check/fold OTT since it hits the FD, and the pocket pairs that called you OTF are very likely calling you OTT. As played, I liked the river bet since he's now folding his pocket pairs without :club: very often, while he'd probably have raised the turn with flush, so the bluff should work more than 1/3 of the times.

Tricky play from the start. Not sure why you would 3bet a tight player pre-flop or he folds a lot on 3bets.

I would call pre-flop, unless you have strong stats about fold to 3-bet.

I liked the way you played flop and turn. The river demands your bet, if he had flush probably would raise on turn. your moves before also suggest a flush, so i think bluff will work enough times to be a profitable move

I dont mind 3betting preflop. He is on button and even tight players are gonna have a wide open raising range on the button. By 3betting you take the initiative you can take the pot right away which is great and the hand has a monster potential and you can barrel many boards. I would expect him to call with hands like AQ, KQs or higher pocket pairs.

The flop is tricky but I guess you can bluff here since you have a low pair and you can improve with 4 or A and make him pay for his draws and put potential overpairs under pressure.

I dont like the turn at all. Flush is completed and the only hands that beat you and could have potentially called flop and now fold turn are 99 and TT. The rest either hit here or folded flop already. So I would check/fold here.

River check/fold again. It is a pure 3 barrel bluff to a tight player in a 3bet pot now and I dont think these are necessary on NL10.

You havnt said anything about your thoughts on villains ranges on each street? what do you think his calling ranges are on each street? What your opponent thinks of your image is important aswell , if your bluffing and being aggressive frequently he may may be adjusting to you specifically by calling down wider than he typically would. You have to keep in mind your opponents perception of you it’s important

I agree with what's already been said there is no need to 3bet pre knowing villain is a tight player.

Imho call preflop is better than 3bet, as played it is speawy:

- A4 is ahed of bu's opening range, but behind of his calling range. You have other hands with 3bet in bluff.
- Flop is ok cbet, but when he call your hand must be dead, you haven't blocker and river you must hope that he havent clubs. In teory river you must check all range on fourte clubs

Pre depends, but it's not wrong to 3bet this for god sake. If there are hands that perform well vs tight ranges are Ax hands given their blocking effects.
Flop size is wrong imo. Bet small or check.
The rest is spewy. You're bluffing with no equity, no relevant blockers to his value range, nothing. Just spewy.

Player dependent, but you can do both. Mix it up.

Call or 3bet pre-flop both fine. Smaller bet sizing OTF, bet turn and river is to much, imo.

1000 hands with the opponent and they are a tight player so we have the info which is why i think calling is probably better than 3betting here.
