What are you doing here readless?

A problem I have is not giving unknowns credit. A lot of times I'm right but other times i lose.
Actually when I first started I could make great folds no problem. It's when I saw the crazy things fish do, i started suspecting unknowns to be fish instead.

Don't like my sizing either.

BTN: $27.80 (278 bb)
SB: $10.98 (109.8 bb)
BB: $10.35 (103.5 bb)
UTG: $15.17 (151.7 bb)
Hero (MP): $14.72 (147.2 bb)
CO: $11.38 (113.8 bb)

Preflop: Hero is MP with K A
UTG folds, Hero raises to $0.30, 3 folds, BB calls $0.20

Flop: ($0.65) A 8 4 (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $0.40, BB calls $0.40

Turn: ($1.45) J (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $0.90, BB raises to $2.70, Hero ?

Flop: Bet something like $0.50, you are IP and BB is gonna fold the same % vs 40c bet as vs 50c bet.

Turn: I would bet something like $1.10 here but 90c is fine I guess. But as played I would definitely call the raise and see how he plays river. He may play also other hands like this, like 87hh, 89hh, and nutted hands of course. But given the we are IP we can still call and expect him to check many blank rivers giving us some showdown value.

Regards,

Rihard

I am folding turn vs unknown, but I also would like bigger bet - lot of value from top pairs and draws. And easier fold when seeing raise.

how the hand is played:

how do you think most villains play like at your limit? ofcause you can be a pessimist and say he either hit his set or two pairs which he will have in some cases, but try put up a range and see how many of his hands that you actually dominate here. As played you definately has to call here in my opinion.

This is what is called a way ahead/ way behind scenario. If you dont like them in general try to pot control (specially when you're in position like this). An examble of that could be checking back the turn and call almost any river

btw I dont think your sizing on the flop is bad. on the turn maybe a little bigger

What happened was I called and called a pot size bet on river to see a set of Jacks. I felt silly that i didn't try stick to rule of giving unknowns credit.
Although I'm not fully sure if i really should because they bluff raise without any equity a lot at the stakes and you can be right here a lot.

well ofcause you run into the top of his range sometimes. As played i still think you should call the turn here and any weak river bet. Calling a strong riverbet such as potsized is a bit of an overkill. People on Microstakes are more honest than you think, which means if they bet big they're usually strong :f_p:
