UTG+1: 95 BB (VPIP: 27.68, PFR: 16.07, 3Bet Preflop: 4.55, Hands: 112)

SB posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has K♠ A♥

Hero raises to 4 BB, fold, fold, fold, fold, fold, SB raises to 11 BB, fold, Hero calls 7 BB

Flop: (23 BB, 2 players) A♦ 4♠ 2♥
SB bets 14 BB, Hero calls 14 BB

Turn: (51 BB, 2 players) 9♥
SB bets 34 BB, fold,

I thought he won't continue OTT with QQ and only left w AK,AA,AQ given his 30+ gap between his flop and turn Cbet.

I'm too hungover to know how I feel about this hand but I'd probably call the turn. I don't think a fold is terrible, though. I'd be folding a lot of rivers I guess.

The problem being that folding here means folding 100% of the range except AA. Call at least once more.

Folding here is hideous, the odds he was holding AA are really low, most of the time he has AQ, AK and lower premium made hands... It's perfectly normal he continued aggression on the turn, you've been raised pre, plus his possible range is beating your capped undoubtedly, he knew that and took advantage of it.

Call turn and call river for less than a half pot left.

Anyone else noticed that this is FR table, and he is 3-betting SB vs UTG?

I'm not an FR expert, so hard to say anything here. I doubt he is not bluffing that much on turn and without stats I can't say for sure whether he is betting AQ here or not...

Those are the things I thought in game. Though I have to admit I wanted to call the turn since I think that will shut AQ down OTR and will only continue with AK or AJ. I didn't think he was just continuing the aggression OTT here given his huge gap on the CBet by streets. Correct me if I'm wrong..

You realise you haven't given his cbet by street stats?

What was your plan when you called pre-flop?

Folding here seems really weak, he was the aggressor all along so I don't really get the fold. Probably would have reraised him myself.

I think we could 4bet this pre. We could raise otf or ott? Anyway that fold is baad imo.

What about KK? AA is unlikely since we hold one and one is on the table. We split AK and win AQ. Don't really understand why we fold.

Something has clearly gone wrong here, because we called a 3bet, got the best flop we could realistically hope for then folded on a blank turn when villain has 1 combo which beats us. I'd like to know more about OP's thought process to understand how this happened. As an aside, if we've seen SB play 1,396 hands, he's seen us play 1,396 hands, so it's not impossible he's exploiting here.

If you're going to fold AK on an A high very dry board OTT, fold pre flop.

I like your call pre. Just call him down, you can't exclusively put him on AA here.

Here are the stats I was looking at during the hand:

3BetVSPosition against EP raise 3%
CBet Flop OOP 71%
CBet Turn OOP 0%

Maybe 1k is not a big of a sample for those stats.

My thought process:

Pre-flop: I was thinking he's 3betting a 4x raise from the SB. I just noticed at the limits that people tend to raise 4x when strong and most regs knows it. So I assume he do. I even thought of folding pre honestly, just thought it's too weak, I'm IP and might be able to play better post.

Flop: QQ-AA, AK, AQ these is the only range I thought of.

Turn: I honestly thought of calling and folding to a river bet. I folded since I open his pop-up and never cbet OTT in a 3bet pot OOP. So as much as I wanted to give it one more call, going back to preflop of 3% 3bet, I thought he might not find the raise button too often with AQ preflop in this spot.

So call Turn I guess?

I could be gone but Cbet turn stat isn't the right stat here. That's only if he checks the flop as the pre flop aggressor?

You can't call the turn and fold to a blank river

Call turn, call river, you could consider folding to a Q river but for 40BB into like 120BB, it's close.

There is 24 combos of AQ and AK left and only 1 combo of AA that beats you. Yes turn is a call.

On flop we should call. Folding is playing scared.

It is FR and SB's range is not wide. I prefer calling and play ip.

Agree here. Want to add that we cannot fold or our call preflop is worthless.
