PokerStars - $0.10 NL FAST (6 max) - Holdem - 6 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

BTN: 101.7 BB (VPIP: 25.81, PFR: 19.35, 3Bet Preflop: 13.16, Hands: 98)
Hero (SB): 100 BB
BB: 139.2 BB

CO: 100 BB (VPIP: 0.00, PFR: 0.00, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 3)

Hero posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has K♣ A♣

fold, MP raises to 2.5 BB, fold, fold, Hero raises to 9 BB, fold, MP calls 6.5 BB

Flop: (19 BB, 2 players) 8♥ 2♣ 5♦
Hero bets 8 BB, MP calls 8 BB

Turn: (35 BB, 2 players) J♦
Hero checks, MP checks

River: (35 BB, 2 players) 5♥
Hero checks, MP checks

Spoiler

Hero shows K♣ A♣ (One Pair, Fives)
(Pre 48%, Flop 28%, Turn 14%)
MP shows 6♦ 6♥ (Two Pair, Sixes and Fives)
(Pre 52%, Flop 72%, Turn 86%)
MP wins 33.4 BB

So this spot,... I prefer to check then bet bet normally, but when I go for the c-bet with backdoor equity, should I be betting the river if they x back the turn?
I really fucking hate these spots.

you could spaz your stack to rep KK+. he cannot call down too lightly but of course sometimes you're going to see QQ and sets

I would prefer to check the flop. As played I think it is ok to bet the river, I assume you get decent amount of folds.

Yes, I usually check these on the flop too.

Are you folding to or calling a bet from villain?

I'd probably call a bet here on the flop, because we have 2 overcards, and backdoor draws as well, so I'd like to see if we improve on the turn, then we can decide again.

With 2 overs and backdoors I also think we could continue OTF vs a bet.
The board is super dry and not very standard for a check raise but I think it can be a good move too and here is why: MP probably calls a 3bet with some pocket pairs (88 he probably has but 22,55 not) and then with some AX hands. His range is capped and doesn't have KK+ like we do. So if he is taking a stab on this board he has to fold just tons vs our raise.

So, I think it might be a good move to play this super aggressively and exploit villain who stabs too wide with crap. I would call a 3bet from MP here with about 60+ combos, and if he happens to have that 3 combos of 88, I would call it a bad beat

We should checkon flop and call if villain bets. Board is low and wedo not achieve much with a bet here. We have some backdoor potential and we cannot fold vs aggression if we check.

I think I'd bet bet bet this board. They will have hard time calling you with anything other than 88. As mentioned 55, 22 are often folds PF, QQ - from MP vs SB's 3Bet are often 4Bet.

Do not agree. All PP will call here.

I'm not sure if all pocket pairs will call, but it is possible. Personally I would call 88-QQ here. But those overpairs and sets are never folding vs a single bet OTF. Also hero's hand blocks all of villain's hands that could be folding. So I really don't expect many folds from villain on this board.

So you call down here with 99 and TT, 3 streets?

I meant that if I was MP I would call the 3bet with 88-QQ and some broadways. With what hands I would call a 3barrel with depends a bit on who I'm playing against. But I assume at least 99 would be out of that range. But if I'm not calling all 3 streets with 99 it doesn't mean it is a good plan to just barrel with air.

Triple barrelling with little to no equity (we could hit a K/A on the river) is suicide, especially when the river is paired.
