bu 88, push vs shortstack?

Raise 5 BB and fold to any aggression from CO/SB preflop. You're never in good shape against their value range, and their stacks are too small to setmine profitably.

If we still have a steal range (e.g. KTo, JTo etc.) here on the BU, can we not minraise even our valuehands for balancing reasons?

Why would you? What makes it that much different? Those hands are also clearly for value. And balancing what? ♦

Isn't he likely to 3Bet us very often? At least if we raise it bigger, which will make it more inconvenient for him to call. Thus minraising makes more sense with hands that we can't call a 3Bet with because then he still might have a relatively wide calling range.
And since we'll be doing it with our weaker hands (weak because we can't call a 3Bet) we might want to balance it with our monsters as well because otherwise we are readable by the BB (though balancing might not be that big an issue even vs the BB because this is still NL10)?

Then rather just limp in those hands than min-raise. Min-raise doesn't really have much affect of taking the initiative usually.

If in this very own spot the shortstack was in the BB and the reg in the SB, could a minraise not be a better option than a limp in order to get in a HU pot with the fish for sure?

But would you advise going broke vs CO as well? Are we assuming that he might very well be overly-passionate about defending his posted BB by check/raising with all sorts of playable hands that our hand is ahead of equity-wise?

You are way overthinking. Just raise/broke against the shortstack and standard against the big one.
