I dont understand why do they donk so little, if I'm probably going to Cbet more? With a strong hand they'd just check.call or check.raise, not donk so little. I'm not going to fold to such tiny bets. On the river he could try a desperate 3rdbarrel bluff, cant he?

Hello Imimba1,

I don't really understand your call on the flop. :) For exact that reason you should be avoiding playing like a station and wasting tons of money in long run. :( River is clearly a fold...

Best Regards.

You are right, fold the flop.
What is villain's range in your opinion on the turn by the way? I'm really curious.

Why would you talk about turn range if we are on the river? :P Clearly from the sizing we can already tell there what his range is, turn is just wide as long he is also loose. ;)

Would you consider raising flop? As a bluff. He clearly wont lead so little with a monster.

Why they donk flop so small? Because you let them. By donking that small and if you always just call they get brilliant odds to hit their flush.

With this hand it's so marginal to play post-flop, especially against a donk. You could even consider folding, against an unknown, as you don't know whether you even had outs alive or not.

Way too drawy to raise with just total air, so fold as said.

I really cant digest the flop fold. I really cant. Such a small bet. I may not understand something that you do. I could easily be ahead with a K or 9. I simply lack the implied odds?
I mean, If I count those cards + the backdoor FD, it's 7 outs. It COULD be 4, but people dont tend to donk here with Qx.

If I have 7 outs, I need to get a 42% bet on the turn, if 4, a 149%.

All in all, if villain has a Q, I have to fold. But is it the case most likely?

You seem to have a huge problem in your game, you totally overrate small bets. You understand that none of your outs may not be clean? It may help his range and you might be already kinda dead if he has a strong nutted hand. Calling flop = waste of money. And ahead with K/9 high? That ain't gonna happen to play it profitable.

In my opinion, when we hold a weak hand like ours we should look at either folding or raising that flop.

Fish like this guy love to donk small with a piece of the board usually like Qx, 2nd/3rd pair and some draws (even 2p/sets to keep u in). I personally would just let the hand go because really we don't have much and there are many other better hands we can raise or call with (and I really don't want to bluff the fish with little equity when i dont know much about his donking pattern).

As played though we can even bluff raise turn to try to get him to fold a small pair that his "block" betting with. Obviously we fold to any action, even a raise (unless it's really small although we could be drawing dead with 2nd nut draw). By raising our K high we may get better to fold.

On the river the fish is polarizing his range and since he 3 barreled I tend to give him some credit. He can still have a lot of value that beats us like 2p, sets, flushes. So it's a close one between call and fold.
