Imo definitely fold OTR, otherwise looks ok.
I know villain doesn't rep much but at the micros when someone raises the river it shouldn't matter what they rep. It will be a bluff like less than 10% of the time and calling over 4x raise with second pair isn't good.
You could have still checked OTT but if you wanna bet make it bigger or there is no point.
As played check/call OTR to catch missed draws as you don't have 2 barrels of value.
When they raise here it's tricky, some people will bluff, others won't.
As usual la55i is a pussy hiding behind so called population tendencies... Humpfr.

Hah, maybe you should consider that too. ![]()
Btw, if we would try to construct some kind of an "optimal" calling range vs that over 4x river raise, would you call this hand even in that case?

Consider spots where there is pretty much no action before the river so our small bet OTR screams weakness and make people want to raise us ? I certainly do, and apparently don't come to the same conclusion as you ![]()
Saying "generally they don't bluffraise OTR" (totally true) is good but all rivers aren't the same. Here they can bluff.

Not sure I can make sense of this action as I'm not searching to play "optimally" and the hh as played doesn't seem like being part of any optimal line I'd expect given our weirdly small bet OTT and all. If we call OTR it's an exploitative call because villain doesn't rep anything is all, there is not really a GTO thing about this.
What are you trying to get value from on the river? Small PP, 3x 8x? I would say it is much more profitable to try and induce a bluff by checking than betting out small, so just check/call. This is something I'm not really sure about, so if anyone has stats I would love to hear your opinions
As played I think the river is a fold - you just got lucky and caught a spazz. Regs will not bluff into a clear value bet here, and fish usually don't bluff, just overcall...
Assuming we x/c the River to induce bluffs and he bets potsize for example, which happens in these spots, would we still call? Like do we call any bet or do we reevaluate our plan to x/c the River after his bet, depending one the size?
