OTR: Very tough decision. I beat some of his Ax, and I am beated by quite a bit of combos. Decided to call.

I think you took a good line here. Big pots for big hands, small pots for small hands. Your AK is not big enough for building the pot but it is for keeping the pot low. I'd choose for pot control here as well as some have you beat but a lot you beat. Make a note and keep an eye on this player.
